For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.
(excerpt from The Stolen Child by William Butler Yeats)
男孩終於睡着了,人間看似漫長的追尋,
其實只是夢的延續。

Day by day I was like the fish you said in the tank, looking outside from the glass I saw it all blurred. And if there had been rain, I saw nothing but dreadful wishes, hoping not to be drunk and drowned in a world so cold and sad.
Beneath an angry Bible flood,
Did you and I first learn to love.
In my father’s car we came to know.
And shivered in our painted clothes and paired like every animal below.
As heavy as a history book can be,
I will carry it with me, oh Lord.
And maybe when the bitterness has gone,
There’ll be sweetness on our tongues once more.
